- Allow the henna to dry fully before touching fabric or surfaces, as it may stain
- Let it dry: Allow your henna to dry for 20–30 minutes without smudging.
- Keep it on: Leave the paste on for 4–8 hours (overnight is best) for a rich, long-lasting stain.
- (Optional) Seal it in: You can dab a lemon-sugar mixture over dry paste to help it stay put and crack less.
- Gently remove: Do not wash off. Instead, scrape the paste off gently. Use natural oil (like coconut, olive, or baby oil) to remove residue.
- Avoid water: Keep the design dry for the first 12–24 hours to allow the stain to darken. The stain will start orange and deepen to a reddish-brown over 1–2 days.
6. Maintain the magic: Moisturize with natural oils and avoid exfoliating or using harsh soaps to extend the life of your design.
